Harold GOODALL was born on 13th February 1916 (St Albans Q1-1916 3a:1469), son of William Henry and Ada Jane GOODALL (née DAY).
He married Evelyn M HOWLETT (Thetford Q3-1936) and had a daughter Diane C. [1938] who may have married Albert WARREN, Newmarket and son Brian H GOODALL (1936-1998)
The 1939 register has at 41 High Street, Brandon, Harold GOODALL [13-2-1916] a hairdresser, and his wife Evelyn M [16-3-1914]. There are two closed records. Probate gives Harold as husband of Evelyn Maud GOODALL, 43 High Street, Brandon and father William Henry GOODALL, newsagent 47 & 49 High Street (1932) |

Harold died after the end of fighting in Tunisia (May 1943) which suggested falling prey to some disease (or perhaps an accident or a rare Luftwaffe raid.) A relative (Rosemary Goodall) has come to the rescue with the information that Harold was indeed a victim of a bombing raid at the end of the Tunisian campaign. |
